no, its NOT harry potter. Its Sirius as in the luminary, as described by Diana Wynne Jones. I actually drew this while waiting for all kinds of things at airports on my crazy europe trip last month. Spent a really long time on the linework because its completely blue and green (alternating around) but I'm disappointed to say it doesn't really show. Colored with prisma pencils (yes, I brought them on vacation with me!)
There was a lightness and power at his shoulders. He had been without his wings so long that he had almost forgotten what they felt like. He spread and shook them, so taht the silvery-green flames of the pinions streamed and whispered behind him. . . .
Her eyes climed wonderingly up this sudden green giant, paused on his fierce silver-green face, and moved on over the mane of dense flame-like hair to the huge double wings at his back.
Diana Wynne Jones? didn't she write Howl's Moving Castle?
Very cool. It looks like you used pastels.. or that's what I thought at least, until I read the discription. Very nice work ont he feathers and wings. And I really like all the color in the skin.
yesh. Howl's moving castle, castle in the air, the homeward bounders, and many many more.

Nice work! I really like the blue and green tones, very vibrant and they appear to be glowing. I really the the tones on the body, the contrast between the warm pink and cold blue.
Awesome Heidi! You've improved SO much this summer! I love seeing your artwork, it helps me not miss you so much. *sniff* Can't wait to see all these in person!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
