I've never tried coloring the shadow first with prismacolors.:P I'll probably try it next time I do a colored pencil pic. I like your technique better. XD

I often go over the shadows again once I've colored in the lighter colors, to help bring them out more, but this picture didn't need it.

this is really a wonderful tutorial for people of any skill level, i think, like you said there's all sorts of techniques so its awesome to see what's out there
